When I went to Disneyland on Friday, most of Rivers of America walk was closed due to the PotC: 2 premiere the next day. I'm too lazy to post the pictures currently, but I shall tomorrow when I find some time. Anyway, they put bleachers up in front of the river, divided into three sections: blue, green and yellow. HUGE bleachers, might I add. I think they must have been for maybe 900-1000 premiere goers. A giant screen was erected on Tom Sawyer's Island which was about 50 feet tall and really wide. (It took up the whole front of TSI, which is huge.) It was very exciting to see how Disney was making a bigger deal of this premiere.

I don't know if anyone has been reading up on the PotC premiere, but here's a link from MiceAge: Waiting for Johnny: Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland.

Also, I didn't know this (might be old news to y'all):Producer Jerry Bruckheimer was another one who spent more time with fans than the press as did Pirates director, Gore Verbinski, who when a kid in the crowd posed the question, "When is number three coming out," answered, "Memorial Day, 2007."
Cool! With the premiere and everything, the movie's basis, the actual RIDE opens again tomorrow with a few movie additions. From the pictures (spoilers in the link above), it looks as tasteful as promised. Being that it's my favorite ride, I was hesitant to see any changes to my beloved pirate cruise, but it looks to be good!

Disneyland was great. I took a lot of pictures, and I got some merch. I'll do a huge pic post next time.
