In the event of a disaster, most often there is a culprit trying to escape the barge, take control of the barge, kill everyone on the barge, or just maim as many people as they can before somebody takes them down. This can involve anything from a simple mad-man with a sword to shape-shifting memory-stealers making you think you're an evil killer with the power of science.
