In the event of a disaster, most often there is a culprit trying to escape the barge, take control of the barge, kill everyone on the barge, or just maim as many people as they can before somebody takes them down. This can involve anything from a simple mad-man with a sword to shape-shifting memory-stealers making you think you're an evil killer with the power of science. [ Okay, so she mixed and matched a little there, but that was the point. ]
Floods are announced and have weird effects. The important thing to remember with these is they happen all the time. Don't make a big deal out of it and it'll be forgotten in a few weeks.
Then there are breaches and ports, which as far as I know are the only time we actually leave the barge. During a breach we sort of... become someone else, for a while. Someone else in another place. Ports are pretty normal and mostly as-advertised, although things go wrong as often as not.
Kitchen's on the first floor, be nice to the cooks, infirmary on the second. Which is below the first, by the by. The staff is awesome, so be nice to them too. I'm on the first floor, room three, if you ever need to find me.
