After a relatively warm winter with little snow, it is finally starting to feel more like winter. We had some beautiful snow last night. There was no wind, so the heavy, wet snow stuck to all the tree branches, making the drab landscape come alive with its magic.

Congratulations on your purchase. It indeed adds sparkle to your dining room. I like it a lot.
What I also like is your workshop building. It is charming. I continue to look for something similar to rent here in Minnesota. I'm maxed out on rent where I live and need something more affordable.

And, thanks for the compliment on the workshop. I built it about 17 years ago. It is the size of a two-car garage, but makes a good place for my tools and woodworking equipment. It has electricity, a wood stove for heat, but no plumbing. I built it in the style of the 1830s, Federal/Greek Transitional, using old window sashes from that period and a door that dates from the 1850s. It suits me well. :-)
I hope you can find a suitable, cheaper place!

You built it? It looks so classic and historical!

...and, Thank you!!!
:-)
I was trying hard to make it look classic and historical. :-)
This is what one gets when a restoration carpenter builds a new building. LOL!!!
