I will not be attending this gala, as public events interest me very little. If there is need for chaparones I will offer my services, but I do not feel any need to drink or dance. A knight sometimes must do such things, but that does not mean that we enjoy them. Besides, my dear Beatrix is at home and I could not dance with anybody else.
I am a bit upset with Master Sephiroth, and he clearly knows it. I understand his methods for his training, but there is a piece of my chivalrous soul that raises an outcry when I see a woman struck. Now that he has returned to classes I have seen him hit both Miss Terra and Miss Celes on their posteriors with the flat of his blade. I had shouted at him before I knew what I was doing, and now these classes are somewhat awkward. I am treated as a fool. The pink boy also vehemently objected, which resulted in him getting a thorough beating from Sephiroth, both with swords and with words. For my actions I only got a withering look, but he knew that while I was from a different breed of man I did understand the methods of training soldiers, and thusly he did not berate me further. Did I not strike my own Pluto Knights with the flat of my blade, when they were being idle and careless? I do indeed understand the methods an the means to keep the warriors you have personally trained in line. I suppose Master Sephiroth sees no gender differences and treats men and woman alike, but still the knight's code I swore to in my youth causes my blood to heat up whenever I see him harshly treat women so. I did not feel that they were being all that sloppy; they both seemed like seasoned swordswomen.
