I fucking HATE technology right now.

Okay, so it’s bad enough that Penn State’s internet has been offline for the better part of today. We’re not just talking a few hours here - oh no. It hasn’t been working for half the damn day. I’m not saying that I had anything urgent to accomplish during those hours, but I was trying to get in touch with a couple of people via AIM, check my mail, and I’d still like to do a little bit of research on Penn State’s library webpage for my bibliography for my religious studies paper. But that isn’t even the real reason why I hate technology so much right now. It’s just the icing on the foot kicking me right in the ass (with regards to Drew Cosner).
It’s my VCR. The one I bought just last August, about two months ago. It wasn’t giving me any problems until recently, possibly because it was waiting for that precise moment when my warranty expired and it knew I would be up shit creek. So for the past couple of weeks, every time I tape something the tracking has gone to hell; everything is fuzzy and there are all these lines all over whatever I tape. So I go and buy a VCR head cleaner. I don’t know what the hell VCR heads are or why they need cleaning after just two months, but I figure it’s worth a shot. So now the video quality is kinda shitty instead of extremely shitty. And you know what? I still watch the damn shows that I tape with the VCR. And in a way, that makes me even angrier, because I’m sitting there, trying to get into the story, and about every five seconds the screen goes all wavy and I can’t tell what the hell they’re saying. At this point, I was so pissed off after watching an hour of crappy video that I was seriously tempted to just disconnect my VCR, walk outside, and throw it against the wall. Best Buy damn well better refund me my money, or I think I actually will try the wall thing. Let’s hope to God I still have a receipt.
(deep cleansing breath)
That should fulfill my profanity quota for a little while at least.

I’m out.
