Planning Ahead

Tomorrow, hopefully, will be the day I first begin working on my two term papers for religious studies and film class (those are two separate classes, not a class about religious films or anything). I didn’t even realize until recently how soon both of them are due - the film one has to be finished in a little over two weeks, while the religious studies paper is about a month. That seems like a hell of a lot of time now, but I really don’t want to write these papers at the last possible minute like I always do - also, I’m probably going to be fairly busy towards the end of November because of the whole production assistant thing, and I don’t want to screw that up.
Still, as far as weeks of college go, this one has been fairly easy in terms of work. Nothing major due until the papers, not even much reading, and best of all, my film class is cancelled on Thursday. I say best of all not because I dislike that class at all, but just because it’s two hours long and is scheduled right when lunch is being served. This way, I can head back to my dorm room, get an extra hour of sleep, and even have time to eat. I’ll still have to get up at 8:30 that day in order to go to religious studies, but at least I’ll know I have a break to look forward to.
My English teacher approved today an idea for my next short story; this is significant mostly because the story I have in mind contains a bit of science fiction in it, and if you regular readers of this journal remember, she forbade anything but realistic fiction at the beginning of the semester and is now starting to ease those restrictions. I’m glad she liked my story pitch - even if I didn’t have a whole lot decided on - and hopefully I’ll be detailing my plans for the story in a future journal entry. Until then, all I’ve got so far is the concept of being able to buy someone else’s memories.

I’m out.
