Why can't I get the help I need?

I ask for help from him and all he does is sit in the same room playing a game on his laptop. Wonderful dear, way to be so helpful. I'll remember that when it comes time for you to go back to school.

It was an argument paper. To be honest, I can only write when I'm inspired and these subjects we have been given are so boring and standard English class and I just want to cry. He said we wouldn't have a problem writing in this class because it wasn't your average English class, but I swear, our first paper might as well have been "What we did over winter break" for how willing I was to write it.

The first paper was an interview paper. Spend five minutes drilling somebody you have never met and most likely will never talk to again and write a page or two about them. Gag.

The second paper was on a childhood memory. We had to make a list of ten memories, choose three, and write about one. It was supposed to be a story though, climax and all. Nothing fancy though, but so hard to want to write.

The third paper was another memory. This time it was just a scene though. Make your reader feel like they were there with you. Not hard, just boring again.

This paper is an argument. We have to take a side of an issue and get our point across. I started this paper so many times, it's not even funny. Me and my soap box, here we come. Though still a challenge to want to write because I would much rather be writing a short story or a one shot right now.

*sigh* I'm almost done. Just a few more weeks of torture.
