Oh, man! The PRoK make me laff muchly!
I haven't had time to post anything lately because ever since I got back from Hellberta, my life has been taken over by my upcoming production (countdown - just over three weeks 'til opening night) and I've been directing rehearsals until all hours and then doing costume and prop shopping in the spare minutes I have afterwards. My few spare periods are being spent cutting cloth, labelling costumes, programming lights, etc.
Of course, even if I did have time to post, my laptop decided to commit suicide yet again and is currently in the hands of my trusty IT department guy to see if he can reboot it. I do intend to do some sort of recap of Worlds, and of my shady Albertan adventures, but I want to wait to get my computer back so I can upload my pictures and stuff.
ANYHOW. The reason I've stopped cutting cloth to post this is because I was super-amused at how Kevin Drew and Leslie decided to diss CI to the press at the Junos, and so I decided to drop by the PRoK's skary boards to see what their reaction was. As usual, their utter lack of taste and brain cells did not fail to make me laff muchly. Some examples:
I hate how indie bands think they have taken the hard road just because they're indie. "We have to work harder to get our music out there blah blah blah". But then they knock everyone else down. Its retarded, when are they going to realize that they couldn't get signed to a big label because theyre not good enough to. I mean some of them, like Maroon 5 are okay, but a lot of them just flat out suck.
ME: Maroon 5?! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!! And, um, yeah, that's totally the reason why BSS, Feist, Stars, etc. are indie. They're just not GOOD enough for an amazing label like Sony-BMG! *snikkerz!*
I see you have been discussing the guy from Broken Social Scene. His comment at the end of his ghastly " singing" was "Fight for better music". Hence my new siggy.

Re: comments by Broken Social Scene.....BWAH! My DH, who was so "not" into the Junos said to me about Broken Social Scene after they performed..."Who the hell was that? That was bad! That guy was so off key" So BSS guys, I guess there's one thing the Idols can do that you can't....and that would be SING!(wow, what a concept...)

There's a whole series of stuff like that, and it just gets funnier when you see them try to dig themselves out of holes. And then you can read the posts about how UPSET they are over the negative press TOWIDOTI got for appearing at the Junos looking like a manorexic crack whore, and those are even funnier! Wheeee!
Oh, PRoK. When will they ever learn? Obviously, the answer is NEVER, and that's good, because I always need idiots to laugh at. >:D
