While I'm in favor of much of this, there are a few things (i.e. number 20) that are absolutely unconstitutional.

But my question is:
2. The immediate, phased withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq; replacing them with an international security force.

How can a withrawal be immediate, but phased? If its taking place in phases, it's NOT taking place immediately.

First of all: The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution’s Bill of Rights declares a well-regulated militia as "being necessary to the security of a free State" and prohibits infringement of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms." The meaning of the Second Amendment is one of the most misunderstood and disputed among the entire Bill of Rights.

He's not defying the constitution. He's just doing some regulating.

Here's his plan for Iraq:

1. Announce that the US will end the occupation, close the military bases, and withdraw ( ... )

I think 1 through 4 are doable, but I have doubts about how much power a President really has to accomplish anything past 5...

Oh the President himself has very little power. The corporations who fund him, on the other hand . . .

Are you really voting in the primary? You strike me as politically ambivalent.

You almost got me on that one. I almost gave you a real response.

Took me about 3 seconds to figure out that you were kidding.

I'll take 3 seconds. If I was serious, I'd have used a more serious icon.

Can you bring you self to vote for an anti-bacon candidate?

That is the one stance of his with which I take exception.

As long as he doesn't propose any Bacon Regulations, I think I can deal.

I am already going to vote for him. I also don't agree with him on 20 b/c I ... don't fully trust our government anymore and think we should all have that right to bear arms, but otherwise HE'S THE MAN!
BTW, great read in TruthOut.org: http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/011008A.shtml.
It is two psychoanalysts examining the psychology of G.W. Bush. Just read the first few paragraphs. It will suck you in. I 'didn't have the time' and ended up reading the entire article. Try to get to the middle of “What he is capable of” chilling stuff.

Oh I can fully understand why people don't like it. But I don't think that we should pull out of it; we're already too embedded. The economic repercussions would be painful.
