5th Feather ~ Needs Law

I had been considering bringing this up earlier, despite the lack of trouble with residents here...but it seems I should have before now anyway.

In light of recent events, it looks like it would be prudent to set up some kind of law enforcement here in Paradise.

I was hoping we'd be a bit more civilized than to need such a thing here. But as you mentioned, it probably wouldn't be such a bad idea, but we would need a government before hand to set laws.

It's a bit much to expect that everyone brought here is moral enough not to harm others.

I know. While things like stealing and murder are unacceotable in some places, we need to get input from as many people as possible.

Hope is called that for a reason, I never said it was very high or I wasn't expecting it.

I suppose we should have a group gathering to help vote on laws and vote people in to help take care of and enforce the laws we make?

We should, but having a few people willing to help to start is a step until we can get this gathering together.

Alright.

I'm Satoshi Hiwatari, and to an extent I have experience in running a police force.

We need a working government, lest the law enforcement become overzealous.

Needing a working government would take some time, but all I'm aiming for is for the protection of others.

The rest can be built on later.

Not particularly. I'd mainly like to make it less likely that killing becomes a common occurrence.

Up until now, anything resembling a law seems to have been unspoken.

I'm not the only person who found the murder of a resident to be unacceptable, so basic things like that should be fine.

Any others will have to be decided by as much of the city as a whole as possible.

I don't pretend to know how that will go.

Considering the fact that several of the residents here are far from human, saying that someone killing Miku was murder is not exaggeration. She had thoughts, memories and feelings the same as any of the other people here. If she can be repaired, then there's still the possibility that something in her character may be affected.

Whether killing a toaster is murder would completely depend in this case.
