I FIXED MY COMPUTER! TweetDeck, Yahoo! Widgets, Rhapsody, I'm seaux glad to have you back!
As it turns out, my computer troubles were my own damn fault. See, I installed Google Chrome on...Monday. As I started using it, I realized just how spoiled by Firefox I was: Google Chrome does not have an ad blocker!
IKR?
So, I went on an inter-quest to find another way to block ads. It was then I came across a program called Proxiv (I think), and I installed it. In order to make it work, I had to adjust some of my internet connection options. Specifically, my Local Area Network settings. I had to add a proxy server. No big deal; the ads were blocked.
By Tuesday, I was sick of Chrome. Firefox was faster, by comparison. Plus, I'm positively addicted to the add-ons. So, I ditched Chrome. And the Proxiv - it's not like I'd need it anymore. BUT, I didn't adjust my LAN settings back to normal. This completely fucked up my connections - but I had forgotten I'd even adjusted those settings in the first place. D'oh!
This morning, though, I decided to comb through all of my various "Options" windows; couldn't hurt, right? I was digging deeper into Windows "Internet Options" and -DINGDINGDING- fix'd.
If I hadn't been so fucking exhausted from lack of sleep, I would have been jumping and squeeing with joy. Instead, I yelled, "OH DEAR FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER, THANK YOU!" -keyboardfaceplant-
AND, now that I have my Widgets back, I'll be able to keep up with my friends list again! \o/
In other news, I got a new phone today! A twenty dolla Tracfone. But wait! There's more! This twenty dolla Tracfone has a ~camera~! Considering my actual camera is out of batteries as of last night, that is a very good thing. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get my minutes, though. Bah.
