Long Time No See! Here's What I've Been Doing. (Warning: Contains Me)

So, I'm not very good at keeping a daily journal. I'm trying to keep up with all of yours, though!

I've just been so, if you can believe it, busy. Between various social media sites, computer viruses, chores, working out, and -gasp- STUDYING, it's been tough finding the time to update this thing. Which is a shame because I like to write. Even about otherwise insignificant personal stuff. I feel better, lighter, happier after I finish writing something.

Speaking of, STUDYING is going well. Really well, actually. I'm passing every practice test I'm taking! And not just passing in the "just barely scraping by" sense. It feels really good to know I retained a lot of the information I learned in school.

Language arts, reading, writing, composition - easy squeeze-y. It's just a review of something that's already been ingrained into my skull.

Social studies and science - Not too bad. I must admit I don't deal in chemistry and world history on a daily basis, so I have to look things up here and there. U.S. history, though - I'm nailing it! And not in the creepy Tweety way. Thank you, Keith Olbermann for getting me interested in this mess.

Math - Ah, my old foe. I was left behind in math way back in the 5th grade, and I haven't recovered since. If I can use a calculator, I think I'll be okay. If not, well, I'M PROBABLY FUCKED.

As for today, I went on a mad cleaning spree. I'm typically slow to get my chores done. It's not that I'm lazy, or I don't want to do them; I just find myself constantly putting them off for future free time. For the longest time, I've had a fear of having a long stretch of down time with nothing to do but sit at the computer. What's the scientific name for the fear of your butt going numb because you've been sitting too long?

Bathtub? Clean Dishes? Washed. Kitchen sink? Clean. Kitchen counters? Clean. Litterbox? Clean as a litterbox can be. Toilet? Clean as a toilet can be. Unorganized crap laying around? Organized. Not necessarily in that order.

I probably would have cleaned a bit more, but the fumes from the cleaning products started to give me a stomachache. Or it could have been the fumes from the ~black nail polish~ I randomly decided to throw on. Hardcore.

Well, maybe not so randomly. My Mom got a manicure yesterday! Her first one. We got a gift certificate, and she let me concede it to her. She got this really cool, deep brown color. I decided to join her with a dark nail color of my own. They were green only three days ago, but I decided to break out the nail polish remover for this. Ordinarily, I would wait until the polish chips off by itself.

One more thing! I've been messing around with the camera on my phone recently. It's the only camera available to me until Mom and/or I can remember to buy a battery charger. Our -actual- camera is virtually useless until then.

Aaaaaaaand I've taken some pictures. One of those pictures is of myself. I got my bangs trimmed last Saturday, so I've been fascinated with my hair. I actually have bangs now!

Keep in mind, this is a camera phone. I am not, in fact, jaundiced.

Another photo, with a question:

This is something I found on Nibbles. Sorry for the shitty quality. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I found it while petting him a few days ago. It hasn't gotten any bigger, so I assume it's not a tick. It's raised, kind of like a mole or skin tag. Is that what it could be? Can a cat get a mole? Any feedback would be appreciated. Getting Nibbles to the vet is a hellish ordeal. I'd rather it not come to that.

Thanks! And if you don't have anything nice to say about my mugshot, don't say anything at all. I can dish it out, but I can't take it.

me, nibbles, story time!, mom, ged
