JOE'S BIRTHDAY: 3 OF 3
So although you all probably know why I’m writing this, I think it bears repeating. Someone very important is turning 21 (or did, it's late now. =P). And why I don’t think I need to tell anyone reading this why this person is important, I’m pretty used to it by now (and I’m sure he doesn’t get tired of hearing it) so I’m going to try to do it justice.
When the name Joe is thrown around in regards to the FNL fandom, EVERYONE always knows who is being referred to. And I will always hold true to the belief that this fandom is the way it is because of him. Not just the people that have been inspired to read and write for the fandom, but those who can admire and appreciate the will it takes to stay passionate. But all of this was done for more than his activity and passion for the fandom. Or more than his good taste in TV (which he will tell you I put him at a tie for first for people with the best TV taste, according to me), music (has he forced on offered you the songs from his fanmix?) humor, (is there anyone he can’t make laugh??) this is about something I started and let grow, wanting to let the power of numbers say what I couldn’t say myself.
While all of this started as a convenient way to say thank you, it really turned into a lot about appreciation. The list of what Joe has done for me, personally, is far too long to list but I can tell you it has all meant a lot. More than someone who always has the scoop on spoilers, TV and basically anything (I really fall behind without him keeping me updated!) he has been a friend and that’s what I really do appreciate. A lot of words can be used to describe Joe, but he speaks his mind, he sticks up for people, and most of all he has always been there for me. So 2 months ago I wanted to say thank you in a really big way, and I think this does that successfully. So thank you, Joe. Thank you for all you have done for everyone and thank you for being an amazing person to me.
Before I get to the master post of gifts, I should mention something about this in general. The idea was to have 21 people give Joe 21 gifts. And while there are 21 “gifts” below, they were not from 21 people. Unfortunately, there were people who were unable to contribute, yet there were people who insisted on being able to make up for that. Meg went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out with all of this, and I owe her a major thank you. In addition I really owe Cat a big thank you as well, for being so supportive. Thanks so much to both of you for everything. =)
SO, 2 months, 1 idea, 10 lists (yes, 10) and many people later I present to you “21 for 21” for the very deserving, very awesome, very amazing Joe. Thanks so much to EVERYONE that made this possible. I really couldn’t have done this without you so really, thank you.
