That was one of the best fics that I have ever read from. Perfect for Niou's birthday.

There were so many references to NiouxYagyuu. Those are some of the best parts of the entire fic.

Yagyuu sucks in a breath. He blinks. Hiromi's crooked smile is Niou's, too, but his glasses aren't. Neither is his mole, which is too high on his cheek. His hair is dusted with the snow puffs. "Dad," he says ( ... )

Thank you so very, very much for the kind words! I hope you didn't cry too much--it wasn't meant to be that sad, so much as a depiction of what their life was like contrary to the image portrayed in the other parts of the verse.

(Hiromi keeps his dick in his pants, good kid ;)

I cried a lot in the end. Especially when Yagyuu started to do that other girl.

Hiromi probably understood when Niou yelled at him.

I'm crying so hard, you have no idea. Seriously, I can't see the screen properly because my eyes are so blurred :( :( :( :( :( :(

It was brilliant. I don't know what else to say because I feel numb. So many thoughts, especially about how this makes me reassess and reinterpret (and want to revisit) all the other fics in this universe.

Hiromi is right: they will get back together.

Happy birthday <3

Thank you, as always, so very, very much. You know that, eventually, things will work out. Hiromi is totally right. And deep down, I'm a closet romantic who likes happy endings.

No -- I just finished it a few days ago (I haven't had much time to read, lately) and I have a comment for you soon. It'll be long. Reall, Allison? You keep getting better and better all the time. I feel everything that happens to them, the way you write them. I almost got sick on the blood. But I'll tell you more later - Josh has one more doctor's appointment today, and then I'll have a bit of time. :-)

I'm really not sure how to respond to this fic. I had trouble reading all of the fics in this series, and the D1 side of things was always the one that... worried me most, I guess. I have a lot of trouble imagining them as parents, and your version of it really speaks to my horror.

I spent a lot of time swaying between sympathizing with Yagyuu and hating him. The same with Niou, to a lesser degree. I really wish I could throw condoms at them though.

There was a point where I thought things were about to resolve, but then they rapidly unravelled once again, which I'd like to tell you was Very Unfair (but I still couldn't stop reading). I would have loved one last chapter of actual resolve and happiness, but I have no idea what that would look like, and this of course works better. I think I'm just stressed and overinvested. Which is making this comment a bit of a mess, um.

Jackal was fantastic. He should probably be a girl all the time.

Thanks for posting.

Aw, don't worry too much! As much as D1 as parents is rather horrifying, they do try. And they do love their kids, in their own special ways. And while things seem to have gone horribly wrong, somehow, there's hope, too.

Yagyuu...and his condom issues...oh how much easier it would have been to wrap the willy...secretly, though, he does like kids. And he does like pregnant!Niou. He wasn't as guilty as he should have been, by far.

Jackal is so much fun to write. I am glad that you enjoyed him, even if the rest was a bit horrific.

Thanks!
