Tuesday afternoon, Dorms then sewers

It was possible that Peter was being paranoid. But Claire was supposed to have met up with him hours ago and she wasn't answering any of his calls or texts. Combine that with the news of folks being sent to the clinic last night and he did not feel good about this.

Given that he'd already copied this power he didn't technically need the help. But Claire was important and Peter didn't want to chance her safety on him possibly screwing up. So he went to the expert and knocked on Bridge's door.

Bridge is in the process of throwing some extra clothes in a bag to take back to Xander's apartment when he hears the knock on the door. "Hey!" he says, breaking off the greeting and his usual cheerful expression turns serious as soon as he actually *sees* Peter. "What's up?" he asks.

"I can't find Claire," Peter said. "She was supposed to meet me hours ago and it's like she vanished."

It was a sign of how worried Peter was that he didn't make any kind of joke about how he thought he was the only one around there who could turn invisible.

Bridge frowns. "And you think this is less a case of her forgetting about it and more a case of something's happened to her?" he guesses. Given certain recent events, he's inclined to believe the latter himself.

"Maybe I'm being paranoid but I've got a bad feeling," Peter said. "She's not answering her cell or anything."

"We'll find her," Bridge says firmly. "But, uh. If Angelus- if he's got her, we're going to need more than just the two of us. Not that I don't think you're good in a fight, I mean, we had that Superheroing class together and you did pretty well, and... I just think some back up might be a good idea?"

"Long as I get to come along," Peter said. "If Claire's in trouble no way am I sitting on the sidelines."

"I wouldn't expect you to," Bridge says.

"Thanks," Peter said. "I appreciate the help. I know I've got your power but - I just don't want to take a chance on screwing it up. Not for something important."

Bridge nods. "I understand that," he says. It's pretty much how he'd feel if it were, say, Z that he needed to find. "We wouldn't need a lot of people," he adds. "This isn't about taking him out, it's about getting Claire *out* of there if that's where she is, and we need just enough people to make sure *everyone* actually makes it out."

"I can help with Claire," Peter said. "I picked up a new trick over Thanksgiving. Makes it easier to get out safely, assuming you've got someone keeping an eye on things."

Of course vampires had other senses that were just as keen, but Peter wasn't worrying about details like that. This was why Peter should never lead missions.

"Not just eyes you need to worry about," Bridge mutters absentmindedly, already going through a mental list of people he'd trust enough to help out with something like this. "How's six people sound? Us and four others, I mean."

"Whatever gets the job done," Peter said. "I trust you."

Bridge glances at his watch. "Give me ten minutes," he says. "We'll meet up outside the school gates and then head out."

"Ten minutes," Peter said, by way of agreement as he went to get ready. "Thanks, Bridge."
