Well, another school year has ended. Sigh.
Packing and everything was on schedule, but the last two weeks at work were pretty bitter. I was pleasant but not hanging around as much to be available to anyone at work should they have time to take out of their very busy lives to say "hi". (Notice the sarcasm.) That got old throughout the course of the year. But, I did get a "candy gram" along with the other teacher who won't be back there next year, whereas the poor beleaguered tech guy got nothing. Sigh. Really, the principal there got a lot of good intentions, but he's got a long way to go. Anyways, I just need to stop by Monday to drop of my key (and yet more job applications) and then I'm totally done with the place.
My dear love is off at Trothmoot in IN and has been since Wednesday. I miss him a great deal, and am trying not to be jealous that he's off hobnobbing with Asatru folk in my beloved Midwest for four days. Luckily they're not be directly affected by the flooding, though I hear that the summer thunderstorms are out in full force.
Yesterday and today I worked full days for my old summer boss, slowly I remembered why the "fun" summer job always ended up not actually being much fun. Camps start Monday, and we are in crunch time. What is with me and idealistic yet highly disorganized men?? Sigh. I am so glad--let me repeat--so glad that I am not working at that job the entire summer. Yay summer school with twice the pay yet half of the hours! And school too, though I'm not sure yet how I will adapt to taking science courses instead of social science courses.
Anyway, pooped after a long week of packing plus two days of Lego training. Me go bed now.
