First, Norbert died Sunday morning.
Later that day, we find out that an elderly friend of Wayne's family died as well.
Monday, I got news that my Aunt Lois, wife of my dad's oldest brother, died too--from diabetes complications. My uncle came home and found her dead in their home.
Sigh.
Lois was the matriarch of the Hoglunds in Rockford. Though she married into the Hoglunds, she married the eldest child--Dad's older brother, Gene. They have five kids, 5 or six grandkids, and two great-grandkids--and they are only 70. All of their kids were so much older than me that I called them my uncles and aunts; I am "cousins" with their grandkids.
Sigh. Anyways, I am still processing, so a longer post will come. I've been trying to post this for four days now, and just haven't done it.
