New Years Eve... One I will never forget

Jan 02, 2006 00:28

Wow, 2006 sure started with a bang... literally! I don't even know if whatever I write in this entry can really portray what went on last night, because it took awhile for me to get my head around it. It was seriously one of those nights where I woke up this morning and had to go through everything that went on, just to make sure it all actually happened.

But let me start from the begining. I was supposed to go to NYC for new years with Sunyak. Karen and Eric were already there staying at Erics and we were all going to go out. Then, at the very last minute Sunyak backed out. Karen and I were pissed as hell at him, and Karen and Eric decided to come back to Baltimore for New Years. Well, they didn't get home until almost 8:30pm on New Years eve and we still had no idea what we were going to do, so I decided to go to Batemans in Reisterstown to meet Jackie and her friend Sari for dinner. Bryan was having a party and I knew Lindsay and Kevin were going, so I told Karen that her and Eric should go to that, cause I was pretty sure I was going to go after dinner. I also invited Jackie and Sari.

We got there around 11 and no one was there yet except some people that I didn't know, and this guy Jared that I had a class with last year. A little later Noah, Scotty, and Jason showed up, and then Karen, Eric, Lindsay and Kevin. I was so excited because all I really wanted was for everyone to be together for New Years and we were! And the fact that Jackie was there made it even better. We all hung out, drank, watched the ball drop, and drank champagne. Sounds like the perfect New Years and it really was for a while...

And then came psycho asian police officer. I was in Bryans room with Jackie and some other people, when I heard someone say the cops were here. So I peeked my head out to see what was going on and all of a sudden the door comes bursting open with such force that the door frame came out of the wall. Yes, psycho asian cop knows how to make an entrance. Apparently someone had opened the door, and then slammed it in the cops faces and chained it (stupid move), so they kicked the door in and entered the apt. The two other cops were being normal but psycho asian cop was going crazy! He was screaming at everyone to shut the fuck up and to go get our fucking ID's and stuff. And he made us line up against the wall... He was insane. Meanwhile, people are screaming and cursing back at him which was another stupid move but seriously, people aren't going to sit back and let someone treat them like that. I understand why they were all getting angry, but they were just making the cop more angry... it was a bad situation. ANYWAY, everyone at the party was 21 except for Jackie, Sari, and Eric but Eric had a fake ID so he gave that to the officer and then proceeded to JUMP OFF THE BALCONY when the cop wasn't looking. After he jumped off the balcony he ran away. So, eventually psycho asian cop was ready to give us back our ID's, and who do you think he calls first? Aaron Chandler... AKA Eric's fake ID name. So everyone is yelling for "aaron" to come get his ID, but of course he's not there to get it, so the cop just holds on to it and gives back everyone elses. Meanwhile, everytime someone's name got called to come get their ID, everyone cheered and it was very funny. While all this was going on, I was making friends with Officer Tully, who was very nice and kind of cute, and yes I was flirting a little bit, but it's a good thing because I managed to get him to get Erics ID back from psycho asian cop. So yes, Go me! After all that was done, psycho asian cop told everyone to leave, at which point Jason stepped up and explained that while he understood why he wanted everyone to leave, most people had been drinking and it would probably not be a good idea to make them go home, since most people had driven. Stupid psycho asian cop. It all worked out and the cops eventually left, but poor Jackie and Sari who were under 21 got citations and have to go to court. It's not that bad though cause they weren't drinking. I don't think any judge is going to care that a couple 20 year olds were at a party NOT drinking. Once most people had left, Karen and I went to go find Eric who told us he was at a McDonalds at a nearby shopping center. When we got to the shopping center Eric was nowhere to be found so Karen called him and told him we were there, and all of a sudden he came running out from across the street and he just looked so funny, like a fugitive on the run... which I guess he kind of was lol.

After the party Karen, Eric, and I went to Nautilus diner. Karen ordered a salad and asked if they had balsamic vinagarette dressing. The reply that we heard from the waiter was "well, we dont have balsamic vinagarette, but he we have balsamic vinagarette." Naturally we all look away from him and try not to look at eachother, but of course i couldn't hold it in anymore and started laughing right in front of the guy. I didn't mean to but it was 3:30 in the morning, we had just had an insane night, and it was funny! The whole night was just so completely ridiculous, but it seriously was one of the best New Years Eve's ever. I had a great time and I'm glad I got to spend it with everyone.
