Pretender - Fedayee
I found Pretender fic! Good, Plotty Pretender Fic! It's even kind of long! Not, like, novel length long, but it has three parts and a short Epilogue, which is pretty much the second longest Good Pretender Fic I've managed to find - so that's saying something. Yay!
Fedayee by Elliott Silver. Can't really summarize much without giving away all the plot devices, but I will at least give you all the author's summary, which totally captures the story in just a few words.
Miss Parker saw the whole world fall not because of hate, but because of love, and it was a terribly, horrifyingly beautiful thing.
I know that the Pretender fans on my friends list are few and far between, but I also know that finding a good Pretender story is a bit like finding gold after the rush - they are out there, but with *both* of the main fic archives MIA and/or not updated since 2003, you have to search through a lot of dirt before you find that one tiny fleck of gold. Therefor, to Pretender Fans everywhere in a quickly disappearing fandom - here's to finding gold! ;)
