I got up at 7:15 this morning because there was a nasty vibrating noise coming from the heating vent. Scared the bejesus out of Mandy (who was sleeping on the couch) when I came down with the "dude, WTF?" expression on my face and asked her about it. Cats were wandering around with their tails all poofed up and the hairs on their back all standing on end, looking extremely warily down the stairs to the basement, where the noise was emanating from, more particularly the furnace room.
So, yes. Our furnace is broken at the moment. It's not too cold in here now, but I imagine that won't take more than a few hours to change. The insulation around most of the house is pretty good, but the attic - which surrounds my room on the two sides without windows - only has the floor insulated.
Yay for baggy sweatshirts.
In other news, after I got up, I fully intended to study for my Cartography final for a few hours. So far, I really haven't gotten much studying done. This is going to bite me in the ass in about two hours when the actual exam time is. However, someone did link to a scene with
David Tennant singing and dancing from Blackpool.
