Moving Day
And it is all done! Got here safely (though I was wound up so tight on the way over that I may have sort of almost crashed into another car when I was turning around in a parking lot. Um, yeah, my Dad basically told me to "Snap out of it and start paying attention to your surroundings!") and unloading the cars took all of twenty minutes or less. Dad thought it was a cool house, though he still thinks I'm paying a bit much - hazard of living in a college town, and since I get wireless access and satellite along with all the utilities for $400 a month, I think I managed pretty darned well.
Anyway, I am here, and all my stuff put away. I got my DVDs, CDs, and books all alphabetized, my bed inflated and made, the book shelf put together, the printer set up, and the air purifier going. The room is quite big and... a wee bit stark at the moment since I didn't think to bring any pictures or posters, and as it is I'm only taking up maybe half of the space available to me. In fact, I probably didn't really need the biggest bedroom in the house, but having, like, a gazillion drawers *and* three shelves already set into the wall kind of won me over.
Now I think I may wander downstairs and see if M has any ideas about where a girl can get some food around here. Or maybe I'll go to the grocery store and get my own.

* another shelf if I can find it (or ask D or M if they have an extra one) for the fan
