Lake Superior Shipwreck(s)

Hey, random question - mostly directed at ladysorka because she would probably best know anything about Lake Superior. Yesterday at work two of the ladies exercising in the small pool were gossiping and at some point one of them said something about a new shipwreck being found along the coast of Lake Superior, and the only reason it *was* found was because, through some quirk of quick freezing and no snow to fog it, the ice along Lake Superior's cost has frozen incredibly clear this winter, and the ship was noticed when someone was flying over head in an airplane or something and saw it. Anyone else hear about this? Cause, if you have, I'd love a link to the story. Even if it's old news (though the lady was pretty convinced it was a new discovery). I tried googling "New Shipwreck + Lake Superior", but it just links me to some special website where you can explore already known shipwrecks or tells you how one goes about discovering wrecks on the Great Lakes.

Anyhoo, just thought I'd ask because it sounds like a hella cool discovery.

great lakes, question, news, cristin
