fan fic rec: Sentinel - Saving the day
Upon finding myself homework-free for the first time in what seemed like ages, I wandered on over to that nasty little community properly titled crack_van and found Saving the Day by Karen, a highly amusing yet pretty true-to-series Sentinel fic. The majority of Major Crimes and the rest of the police station have been taken hostage and only Blair, Rhonda, and the donut girl Claire managed to escape notice by the bad guys. And, dude, some of the ideas Blair comes up with as he tries to break Jim and everyone else from the holding cells is just priceless.
"Look, maybe Jim can hear something, but there's no way he can know it's Blair; it could be anyone." He frowned as Jim suddenly tensed and blinked blankly at the wall. "Now what?"
Jim was too downright astonished, not to mention baffled, at what he had overheard to worry that the Sentinel thing was no longer a secret. He turned puzzled eyes on Simon. "He's smearing strawberry jelly on Rhonda and the Donut girl and he's telling them to take off their shirts and rip holes in their panty hose."
There was a long thoughtful silence before Henri nodded reluctantly. "Okay, you got me, that does sound like Hairboy."
"Okay, this is the plan." Sergeant Samuels looked around at his half-naked men and women and hoped to god this part of the hostage drama never made the news.
So very amused.
