::blinks:: Stick my finger in a socket and call me shocked, because I've just been asked to babysit for one of the kids I have private swim lessons with.
Tejus's mom just called and asked me if I would be willing to babysit for Tejus and his little brother tomorrow night, as she had heard Ryan's -- one of my other kids from swim lessons -- mom joking about him asking if I could be his babysitter he liked me so much. I haven't babysat since I was like... 13. It amazes me that she trusts me so much, and kinda... well, makes me feel all honored and stuff because she thinks she can turn to me when she's in something of a spot with her kids. I told her yeah, sure, I would love to if she really trusted me that much with her kids, and she flat out told me that yeah, she feels totally confident in me. Just. Wow. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now. :)
Now all I gotta do is find the place and hope that Child Services doesn't find out that I was never certified in babysitting... :D (though I think that being a certified lifeguard kinda makes up for that, since we have to be certified in adult, child, and infant CPR, which is basically what you need to become a babysitter)
