(no subject)
Accomplished quite a bit today. Gramma offered to take me into town for the one class I have today (aka, she was being subtle about saying "I'm feeling kinda lonely today, would you mind keeping me company?"), so she picked me up at 10:30-ish and jabbered with me all the way into town.
After dropping me off, I spent most of the class period for Oral Interp reading/practicing the group presentation thingy we're supposed to do in there week after next with my partner... it sounds okay, but it would be much better if we were given time to memorize the majority of the lines rather then reading them from the paper... buuut, unless we get together outside of class, that probably won't happen. Ah, well, we'll do what we can. At least the teacher partnered me with a decent guy when it comes to the readings; there are a few in my class that are... well, I guess I'll just flat out say it. They have *no* acting ability in any way, shape or form. So, yeah, I'm not gonna complain in that department. The play we're doing is totally messed up after that first 'scene' I posted a few days ago, but we'll manage well enough I suppose.
After class, Gramma took me out to lunch at KFC (which was really really yummy, by the way) before we headed back home cause she had a buncha chore type stuff she wanted to do at home. So, she dropped me off at home where I changed clothes (cause the hip-hugger/short torso jeans I was wearing were driving me *batty*... I don't know how girls my age can wear those frelling things all day) and plopped down on the couch for a bit before doing a load of laundry (which was why I was wearing those bloody jeans in the first place... they were the only clean pair I had left) and then checking my f-list on LJ (which I am still like three days behind on... sorry, all) while waiting for the washer to finish so I could put the cloths out on the line to dry. Yes, my dears, it was nice enough to put the clothes out on the line today! 75 degrees and mostly sunny through out the morning and early after noon; a little windy, but hey... all the better to dry my clothes with. :D
Then I headed down to Gramma's to help her do a little cleaning around the house (aka... I spent two hours sucking up the multitude of dead (and living) chinese beetles that had acquired by the windows up in her store room... that was icky) and do some raking out in her yard for her. The raking was actually kinda a treat for me; though it had clouded over around 3, it was still quite nice outside - comfortable temps and a pleasant wind blowing. Add to that all the bird calls and the fact that the frogs were singing quite loudly back in the woods, it was a very nice way to end my evening. However, I headed back home around 4:30 cause the sky to the west was getting reeeeeally dark and I wanted to get back home before it started pouring (cause, yeah, I walked down). Once home, I ate some left over KFC for dinner while my parents had pork tenderloin and watched the storm come it... twas cool.
So, yes, was quite a nice day for me... and Gramma paid me for helping her out, so that just made it all the better. And, we finally got some desperately needed rain... which, yes, is a very very good thing.
