(above quote said by Emily as we were walking back to the car from the zoo discussing Jurassic Park and how cool our death story would be if we got to Heaven (if you believe in it) and were asked "How did you go?" and were able to answer "Oh, I got eaten alive by a pack of raptors...")
Today was such a blast...
Emily met me at Wildwood park again around 9 and drove around the pens where they have all the like plains animals, like the elk and deer and buffalo and the likes. Then, after that we drove down town to play two games of bowling at the Rose Bowl... That was fun. I think I got a 109 and a 107 score, which isn't great, but hey, at least I broke a hundred...You'll have to ask Emily what she got if you really wanna know. :D Anyways, it was much fun. We spent about half an hour arguing over which Charlie's Angels movie the weirdo hair-obsessed guy was in between tossing the balls down the ally - Emily is convinced it was in the first one, and I for a fact know it was in the second one... We came to a truce saying that maybe he was just in both of em. :D
After bowling we headed over to wander around our puny mall for a half hour/forty five minutes or there abouts... Mostly, we oogled over the Beanie Babies they had at the Tea Shopp and Hallmark... Emily found a new version of the Peace bear that has the same birthday as she does and was kinda creeped out by the fact that the original Peace bear has the same birthday as I do... Heh, it was amusing to watch her reaction. :D We also went to Sam Goodey for a bit where Emily got a new CD - Maroon 5 I think - and I giggled over their rude bumper stickers, which is always fun. :)
Then, after the mall we headed over to Big Apple Bagels to get some early lunch and did a whole bunch of talking about any ol' thing over our bagels and cream cheese for an hour or so... That's always the best part, being able to jabber away about anything and everything without worries... :D {{{{snuggles the Emily}}}}}
Finally, for the last 20 minutes or so before Emily had to head back to Wausau (she needed to have the car back by 2:15 and it's about an hours drive), we went back to the zoo to talk with the wolfies... Both of them were out and dude, they were sooooo pretty... I wanted to take one home with me. :) So did Emily, and it almost appeared as if the male wolf (at least we think it was the boy) wanted to come home with us. He came right up to the fence in front of where we were standing and gave us this puppy dog look... Dude, we were partially considering jumping the second shorter fence we were leaning over (which is probably there to keep people - like us, for example - from getting too close) so we could to pet the pretty boy through the fence... He just looked like he could use a hug, I tell ya! Buuut, we resisted. We also noticed that both the mountain lions were out as well, so we went over there and praised them for a few minutes too... Those two need a much bigger cage in my opinion. There's two of them that are cooped up in this little like 50 x 40 foot pen with only a pile of rocks and a few raised platforms for them to climb on... Not even enough room for one of them to run more then three paces! So, yeah, they should get a bigger pen... one at *least* the size of the wolfs' pen, which is at least double the size (maybe even triple). Though, honestly, I think the wolf pen could be a little bigger too, but that's just cause I hate seeing animals caged up in such small areas.
Anyhoo, after the zoo it was about time for Emily to head back to Wausau, so she dropped me off at the high school where my mom was, and then she was off after a few directions and a biiiiiig hug from me. Hopefully she didn't get lost due to said directions. :D
So, yes, it was a very very very fun morning. We should get together more often, Emily! :) {{{{{{hugs again}}}}}}}
