Ah, yes... Ya gotta love the week after Halloween. You can get all the candy you could every want at dirt-cheep prices. Wandered down to Target after classes for some lunch and picked up two bags of candy, Tootsie Rolls and Nerds for like 69 cents each. I also found myself a schenal (only spelled right) hat and scarf, and I got everything for under 10 bucks all together. Wohoo! YAY sugar and scheneal!
There is a downside, however. See, I had to walk down to Target and it had been snowing all morning with the heavy, damp, packy snow... I had to walk through a quarter mile of wet slushy snow on the sidewalk cause they hadn't been cleared yet... And I wore sandals today. Yes, my feet got rather cold and wet. Thankfully, I was able to borrow mum's shoes so I didn't have to walk all the way down in my sandals (I had to walk the slush to get from the school to Erika's car, though, before I got the Y and was able to borrow mom's shoes... hence the wet feet). They both had a hole in the toe, so my toes got wetter still, but it was waaaay better then it would have been if I had walked down in sandals. The fact that it was still kinda snowing and rather windy was the reason I got the hat and scarf, too, so it was a cold Maren that finally wandered into Target, but a happy one cause... YAY snow!
And now I have to go sniff out a few sources for the stupid teacher conference I have with my English teacher tomorrow... Damn research project and her telling us we need at *least* ten sources for a 10-15 page paper... Ugh, how I do *not* like that woman... ::growls and sulks::
