I treated myself to a new MP3 player since my old one is getting a bit beat up (not surprising seeing as I got it like eight years ago now, though it still works perfectly, it's just missing a few bits and doesn't have much space comparatively). I don't trust it at all.
It is a Polaroid 4 GB Music and Video player cost me all of $20 (normally $39.99, on sale for $19.99), and I have no real *reason* not to trust it, really, but I still don't. Mostly because it is too light and it is all plastic and flimsy feeling. This thing doesn't have a chance against a stiff breeze.
However, I shall endeavor to reserve judgment for now as I haven't used it yet. Maybe it will surprise me. Also, four times more storage than my old Creative Zen Nano (which is 1GB, which was a TON of space back then. It also cost me $100. Advances in technology, man), so I have space for audio books! Which is mostly why I decided to treat myself to a new MP3 player in the first place. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, too, so no AAAs shall be sacrificed to get my music fix.
And, should all of my expectations be met, I do still have my trusty Nano to fall back on.
