I have now had my annual check up (which I haven't actually had "annually" for three or four years). Got everything taken care of as far as I know Paps and pelvic exam - which, by the way, ow; guess I need to invest in a dildo or something - breast exam, tetanus shot, had blood taken for a cholesterol test, and I got a prescription for Yaz birth control in hopes it might help with the acne problems I've had pretty much since puberty, as well as maybe regulating my periods a bit. I've never used birth control, so I have no idea how my body is going to react to the stuff. Also, because they don't have a generic brand of Yaz yet, either, it will also be costing me $25 a month through Family Health, and possibly quite a bit more once my Badger Care kicks in, so again, not sure how long I'll stay on the stuff. Even if all it does is help with my acne, though, it might be worth it. We shall see.

The scale also said I weighed in at about 168 pounds, which is still more than I want to weigh but it is less than I had been (I've been hovering around 172 the last few months), so progress and all that.

And now, I really need to study for the Structural Geology test I have tomorrow. Ugh, Structural.

health, test, doctors appt, structural geology
