Super Bowl Stuff

Just finished watching the Super Bowl. Have a few small comments/questions, none of which are at all revealing about the final score.

1 - Holy cow, that was a fast game! I turn it on at 7 and then I check my email and make a few LJ/Facebook comments, and I look up 50 minutes later and suddenly it's the 4th quarter already and I am sitting here going O.O and wondering where the first three went. First three quarters - less than an hour; fourth quarter - an hour and 15 minutes all on it's own. Interesting game.

2 - Though I really didn't care either way, I kind of found myself rooting for the Steelers just because it seemed like the Cardinals were hitting the penalties rather hard at the beginning. Of course, last quarter the Steelers were the ones getting most of the penalties, so I guess it's a toss up on the "playing dirty" front.

3 - Question - both teams get their "Super Bowl whatever Champions!" shirts and hats printed off before the game even starts. At least I assume they do because in all the Super Bowls I've watched, the winning team has said shirts/hats on immediately after the last touchdown/field goal/whatever has been scored, and occasionally even before that (case in point - Brett Favre Super Bowl 31. He pretty much had his "Green Bay Packers, Super Bowl 31 Champs!" shirt on pretty much the last five or ten minutes of the game - referring, of course, to the actual broadcast running time, not the game clock). What, then, happens to the other team's "Super Bowl Champs" apparel? I can only assume they go back to the company who made them, but once there do they get tossed out? Used as rags? Given to the losing team members anyway with strict directions not to wear them in public? It seems an awful waste of perfectly good fabric otherwise.

4 - Commercials. Didn't see any really awesome ones except for the one for tires was it? It was two guys taking a joy ride on the moon, leaving their moon dune-buggy thing to go collect some moon rocks, and coming back to discover their tires have been stolen by aliens. That one was fun.
