I went on Facebook. I read the status updates of some of my friends. My best friend, who lives in NY with her boyfriend, both have changed their status, no biggie, right? Wrong. Her status says, "Moving to Cape Cod."
Now, she had called me earlier in the week, we exchanged small talk and then she tells me to hang on while she talks to someone else for a few minutes, finally comes back to me and says, "Hey, can I call you back later tonight?" Yeah okay, I know she isn't going to call, but I let it go. I then get a call 2 days later, (and I'm pretty sure this was after reading her page) she leaves me a message saying she was sorry for not calling me back, (insert excuse here) and to call her back.
NOT ONCE IN EITHER CONVERSATION OR MESSAGE DID SHE SAY SHE HAD SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO TELL ME! I get that maybe she wanted to tell me over the phone or something, but she should have made it clear that she had something important to talk to me about! Right? Am I wrong here or am I just being overly sensitive? Well, honestly, I'm hurt by it either way, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Why are my 2 best friends in the entire world becoming strangers to me? Between this and Jer completely turning his back on not only his friends, but his family, I feel so lost. My foundation is slowly crumbling and I don't know how to fix it.
Thank god, John is a mason by trade.
