Call me a nerd...

... but I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!!!111!!11shift one!!!eleven!  Ladies and gents, I am eating this book up.  From midnight last night to about 4pm today (minus sleeping and 3 hours of doctor appointments), I've read almost 300 pages, and it's killing me to be away from it right now.

The Edward Cullen in my head... nnngh....  I hear that the dude who played Cedric Diggory in HP4 is playing him when the movie comes out, and I just have to say NAY to that.  I mean Cedric is cute and all, but he's no Edward Cullen.  I need to find an actor that fits the image in my head.  Although this pic is pretty rad.  ETA: the only one I can think of off the top of my head is no longer alive how appropriate.  River Phoenix here or here, in his teen years.  He would have done quite nicely, had the movie been made in the 80's.

For those of you, like
moonlitsiren  , that are not 'into' vampire-themed media, let me just say that as a general rule, neither am I.  I can't stomach the though of reading another word by Anne Rice.  I assure you, this is nothing like Anne Rice.  A) It's a young adult/teen book a la Harry Potter - a little light on plot so far, but I hear that changes B) it's written in 1st person, from the perspective of the snarky & cynical Bella Swan (whom I believe is awesome, but I'm told I won't think so later. Hm) and C) Edward Cullen is magically delicious.

Yes, ma'am.

For some reason, I feel compelled to listen to post-punk 80's British new wave songs.  Echo and the Bunnymen's The Killing Moon comes to mind.

Under blue moon I saw you
So soon youll take me
Up in your arms
Too late to beg you or cancel it
Though I know it must be the killing time
Unwillingly mine

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Under blue moon I saw you
So soon youll take me
Up in your arms
Too late to beg you or cancel it
Though I know it must be the killing time
Unwillingly mine

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

Pre-emo.  So apropos.  But don't get me wrong.  It's not a whiny emo book.  Just saying.

\Incidentally, I dreamed that I ran into a bathroom looking for my teacher.  I noticed with horror that she, fully clothed in a lab coat, had slipped on the shower tiles and was now lying there dead, blood streaming from underneath her head.  Damn.  I wonder if it's my medication that's causing all of these freaky dreams.

ETA: I've been at the library downloading the L movie onto my laptop, and I casually looked at my d/l speed.   I almost fell out of my chair when it said 1600KB/sec.  Never in my life. Both discs (about 1400 mb total) d/led in about 15 min.  Gracious.

edward cullen, wailing, reading rainbow, harry potter, omg, dream, more hours than i can count
