Regarding the upcoming LJ boycott
So, our new LJ overlords seem to have forgotten that we are a community as well as being a source of cash for them and have thrown down the gauntlet thusly:

Honestly, I want them to understand that while they have every right to run a business, we are the people who actually provide the CONTENT that makes this site what it is. I refuse to remain on a site that would treat me, as a user, with such contempt. I will be boycotting LJ (both reading and posting) on friday, and I encourage all of you to do the same.
