Eragon: The Movie
Eragon, the movie… as in not the book or the video game, but no, the movie which opened this past Friday.
Yeah, so 14% at Rotten Tomatoes and boy does it deserve it. I had pretty low expectations that the movie would be any good (fantasy based movies usually stink, but I still watch them for a moment of magic and dragons. This movie though is in a race for first place with the Dungeons and Dragons movie for being the all time worst fantasy movie.
In fact, really the only good part of this movie is the dragon, Saphira, who was really well animated and looked rather life-like… if well, a little dog-like at parts.
Anyway, I have to agree with most of the reviews I’ve read. The script of this movie was the pits. We’re talking like something that was buried, dug up and dusted off. The script writer obviously had never even READ the book, in fact if anything I’d guess that he paid some 10 year old kid to read the book and write a summary/book report on the book THEN based the script off that.
This movie is bad, it’s just bad. The only “good” parts are the previews before the movie and the credits at the end. See this movie at your own risk.
