Tonight was my last night ever at Jimmy's II, and boy I cannot be any happier right now. This was my busiest night hostessing yet; we had to go to a wait and almost every table in the resaurant was used. My parents came to eat there tonight which helped to make the time go by faster. They bought me an apple pie sort of thing, which I ate when I got home and might I say it was quite delectable. Then, as I was leaving, oddly enough, everyone said 'goodbye,' it was kind of nice and extremely unexpected. Prior to Jimmy's, Eddie and I went to Boston, our prime objective: get my books for school. Here is how it turned out:
-we set the alarm for 9:30, awoke promptly at 10, planned to leave by about 10:30, left at about 11:30
-we arrived at NU at aproximately 12:20, got on the T, went shopping in Harvard square, then returned to NU at approximately 2:15 (we had planned on being home by 1:30)
-we got lost in Boston, pulled some illegal manuvers, got stuck in traffic, almost took 95 but stayed on 93 thanks to rocks, paper, scissors, and retunred to 1 Renee Lane at 3:25 when I flew to the basket, then to Jimmy's for 3:45
..and that was today
Yesterday Eddie and I went to the beach where we both recieved some killer sunburns that we are hoping will turn into brilliant tans. Then we went college shopping and I am about 88% set for college and I must say I am getting increasingly more excited to be going off to Northeastern. After which we returned tp my house, watched Underworld, then it was off to Eddie's for the night.
Other than that the only other thing I would like to comment on just happens to be the best thing that I have done all summer: DISPATCH. I went with Liz and Megan to see Dispatch at the Hatshell. We got there at about 10:30 and already the lawn was basically covered. Thankfully Liz's friendshad gotten there earlier and were kind enough to allow us to sit with them. Then, while we were waiting in line for t-shirts, Dispatch walked right by us!! We tried to get autographs, but unfortunately they stopped after we had waited in line for about 30 mins and were about 5 yds away from meeting them. We did however get 5 free cd's from the members of the band. We then headed over to sit along the Charles so that we could get out of the sun until the concert started at 5. When we returned at about 4:15, there were blankets of people and what had been a 5 min walk on the way down, turned into a 25 min walk to get back to our seats. Then the concert began, and it was unbelievable. There was more pot than I have ever seen in my entire life and mid-way through the concert people began throwing bottles, it was intense. As we were leaving we learned that they had shut down Storrow dr due to the fact that the anticipated 5000 people, turned out to be 100,000 people. It was so amazing and I am so glad that I decided to go.
I am now turning in the towel...until next time....
