The Many Adventures of Toris and Remy

I had a really fun day today. Most of the weekend was a complete fiasco, but on Sunday, things started looking up. I was helping out with a Sunday School class for Pre-schoolers- yes, I know, I’m a complete goody-two-shoes sometimes- But I got to play with play-dough (And thoroughly impress a bunch of four-year-olds with my snail-making skills) eat Animal Cookies, listen to a story and color. Now tell me that doesn’t sound like good fun.
And the week’s only been looking up from there.

This afternoon, I was hanging around the Campus with Toris, and we found this balcony on one of the buildings, and it was a beautiful, sunny day, so we decided to just go wherever the balcony led. Turns out, if you follow it around a few corners, it leads to this fantastic view of the duck pond. So, we’re college students, and we do things on a whim; it’s a reoccurring theme throughout this story. Lo and behold, we wound up heading on over to chill with the ducks. (And the geese and the seagulls).

They’re not exactly house-pets, though, so they waddle away or fly to the water if you get too close. Unless, of course, you have food. And, because luck has been with me this week, I had half of one of those mini cereal boxes in my backpack. So we spent quite some time feeding Trix to the a few Mallards, one little white goose that came over, and a pack of obnoxious seagulls. Pretty soon we ran out of Trix, but then it occurred to us: We have money, we have a car, and we have no reason not to. So we headed to the store, bought a huge bag of really cheap cereal, came back, and spent the whole afternoon and well into the evening in the company of various waterfowl.

(There’s still a lot of cereal in the back of my car, if anyone feels like feeding the ducks any time soon.)
Ooc: This totally would have been my afternoon with Mae if the stupid car thing hadn't gotten in the way. Dumb scratched bumper, ruining our fun. Sorry, Maemae.

ducks, toris, buddies, adventuring, there's really no point to this story, college
