short hi and a question about Remy's age

Hi all.
I'm new to the comm and the fandom, as I only just got into it by watching Origins. And I love Remy. :D
I'm aiming to write some fanfic and have looked up some things and read some fanfic and from that I gathered that the comic books (which I have not read) portray Remy as being quite young. The Origins movie, I've read, made him older for plot purposes. But that's the verse I wish to work with, so I was wondering whether anyone here who knows the fandom better has an inkling of an idea how old Remy might be when he meets Logan in Origins.
Any answers, discussion or drive-by comments would be awesome. :)
