Four birds, three birds, two french birds....

It has been awhile (but has it been a little while?).

Job has been going great. I got to talk to Darren twice last week. I had to try very hard to act mature and not start shrieking or giggling so that he will feel safe leaving his children in my care, but it was pretty tough.

School. Meh. That is all. One more final and the semester of doom is over. Next semester may in fact be more doom-filled. We shall see.

Last night was AWESOME. Mich cooked a giant turkey, which neither of us had ever done before and is in fact rather challenging and more than a bit disgusting. I mashed up some potatoes and then made the best drink of all time. I am speaking, of course, about Jan's eggnog. Wow. Gift from God my friends- and He sure knows what He is doing. In fact, there is still an inappropriate amount in our fridge and I am going to get some now. Mmmm, much better. So anyhow, we got the house looking festive and clean and then the boys came over and we ate and drank like eating and drinking was going out of style. Jon was there and has there ever been a better person than Jon? After dinner Ryan gave me what is probably the best present I have ever gotten: The Star Wars Holiday Special. Have you ever heard of this? It was a Christmas special Lucas made after the first Star Wars and it was sooo terrible and ill-received he literally destroyed all copies and forbid it from being shown again. It is very rare to find a copy of it but Ryan did just that and I will love him forever for thinking of me. Honestly, I was very touched. He even waited to watch it! I still cannot believe I have a copy! The girls and I did our presents later and it was great fun. Mich made me two adorable head scarves and she made Andrea a bib. Hahahahaha! (Andrea cannot eat without spilling food on her shirts.) Andrea also got me a Lucky Bear Care Bear ornament- take that Judy- and Heart and Souls, the movie that should have warned us off of buses forever. So far this Christmas is amazing and I am so excited for what is to come!

God this eggnog is good.

I miss Kim. Kim if you are reading this please call me so we can hang out while you are home. Katie Scott, same goes for you.

So the Boos' (I refuse to consult Maddie's grammar lecture for the correct usage just out of spite), who by the way overpaid me by about four hours today, decided to give Ann, Mich and I a little holiday treat. And by "a little holiday treat" I mean $100 gift cards to Somerset. EACH. I'm so overwhelmed and excited! We are going to spend an entire day shopping and having lunch and we are only allowed to buy things we would never spend money on. I think I am going to get Uggs! I don't think I have ever had $100 to just spend on myself before. I really do have the best job EVER.

Alright I am off to do some Christmasy things. If anyone has an urge to watch Wookies talking to each other for about 15 minutes with no translation or sub-titles please call me- you know that is what I will be doing!
