Lie
CSI. Sofia/Sara. G. 156 words.
Written for fanfic100 prompt #34 Not enough.

Sara stared out the window as she purposely avoided looking at Sofia. Sofia on the other hand who was trying to establish some form of eye contact, and she was failing miserably.

Sofia pursed her lips together thoughtfully. “So when were you planning on telling me?”

Sara linked her hands together and rested them on her lap. “Tell you what?”

Sofia growled angrily and stood up towering over Sara. “All about you and Grissom, of course! Did you think that I wouldn’t notice?”

Sara didn’t say anything and didn’t even look at Sofia or try to explain that it was all a mistake. Sofia shoulders sagged and she fell back onto her chair. “You could have least denied it or at the very least tell me that I’d got the wrong impression.”

“Then I would be lying,” Sara pointed out very distinctly.

“Sometimes it’s better if you lie because it doesn’t hurt as much,” Sofia replied.
