After asking five nurses if they knew James Wilson’s whereabouts and scouring the oncology ward twice in vain, Cuddy opens the door to her office. She immediately spots him-wait, what the hell is he doing in my chair?-and is surprised to see him here. Usually the only person daring enough to invade personal space like this…
“James, what’s-oh my God! House?”
“Dr. Cuddy!” The head of the diagnostics department gives her a wink, wiping a bit of whitish liquid from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand. “Care to join us?” He adds with a seductive smile, eyes shining with mirth.
James, however, looks absolutely mortified as he spots her. All the blood flows to his face and he pushes the still-hovering House back.
“Lisa, I-I can explain-it’s not…oh, fuck.”
It suddenly occurs to Cuddy that James’ silver tongue only deserts him when House is around.
“I-I should-go, I should go. I-I’m leaving.” She slams the door behind her, heart beating much faster than normal.
This had to be House’s fault.
