I have a question about how best to link to fic archive information.
I have over 600 fic on my LJ, so a single index page? Never going to happen. That said, 500 of them are in one fandom so the rest aren't bad when it comes to tags. The best way, however, is via my memories which are organized by fandom/pairing/rating so that it's easy to find most every kind of fic I have.

Wow, that's a whole lot of Numb3rs fic! And nice job on organizing your memories. I could never get that feature to work properly and then once tags came along I gave up on mems almost entirely so mine are a real mess. Your review posts are also very impressive!
Anyway, yeah, the memories link you gave is good, and I'd also put in http://emmademarais.livejournal.com/tag/ and, you know, the brief explanation. It's not a big deal and I can do it in the e-mail if you don't get a chance, but it would be a help. Thank you!
I started memorying late so I think it was better when I started than when others did. I had to go back and memory years worth of posts, but in the end I think it's organized in such a way that readers will be able to find what they want easily. I do monthly and annual reviews to keep up with things in the short run, but the idea of having a single post with all my fic on it? Ow. I think I just hurt my brain. ;-) (You should see the single *Word doc* I keep records of all my fic in! It's HUGE!)
So I'll go back and edit the post to make it clearer what the options are and I'll use text links so they're easy to copy and paste.
As far as HH goes, the books and the movies are pretty different, but I don't think it would be too onerous for someone who has just one to handle the other in a remix (about my opinion on Master and Commander, too). I don't think that one could write a whole new fic without the exact canon, but I think the remix ought to be doable. But others can chime in and disagree.
