The entry about Friends and Bros

Aug 22, 2010 02:04

Today was a special day. 1st up, the catch-up with Boyband which is long overdue. Had a good lunch and went on to talk about life, in general. It's always nice to know that even though we don't meet that often, we still have loads to talk about. Hot geek was busy. I kinda sensed it. A little bit angsty perhaps? Work related I guess... from his posts... I asked BB to send him my regards. I am still thinking if I shd turn up at all. This 2 are significant people in my life.

Then I went on to shop with #1 & #3. #3 is getting married. And we are invited of course, being bros and all. I suggested we shd wear something similar. I think we 3 have great chemistry. I never fail to have fun shopping with my two bros. #1 was late so I set off with #3 and WTB around 313. 1st stop we saw floral shirts (this was beach themed wedding)... It was perfect. There was a white base, a brown base and a green base... the 3 of us have different tones... and it suited us perfectly. I like floral... not too sure about my bros. We KIVed. Then we went to another shop and picked out more outfit. I mix&match a few to show #3 and WTB. They approve most of the looks I came up with. Then #1 showed up. So we backtracked everything. I was the only one excited about the florals... and WTB! So we went back to the 2nd store and looked. And we found these:-

Looked quite cute I thought... so we put it on and viola:-

3 stooges? Acapella group? LOL. But they were the right colors. It's obvious who is the groom. #3 looks dapper in his grey. Red was always #1's color and lilac was mine.

I am a little concerned that we would look the same... the white bow tie. I suggested that #3 should wear a black or hmmm... maybe a polka dot to match his black shorts that we picked. #1 and WTB thinks it makes no difference. I feel that its the details. What do you think?

Or perhaps #3 can pull of the "untied-bowtie" look?

#1 did remark we have to go on a diet and fake tan. LOL. I am like ????!!! Not my wedding...  and I totally abhor getting dark. I can do Yong Tau Fu and Fish soup for a month and run. That is the best I will do. LOL.

WTB amused me a lot. She said I was "secretive"... hahaha, I can't stop laughing cos everytime she says this she looks like she is shuddering from a horror story. Me? secretive? #1 and #3 then suggested maybe its mysterious or deep in thoughts etc etc... but WTB said its not, that I give off a secretive vibe. Like I have a lot of secrets. Haha, I don't remember having too much closet space for my skeletons though. Still, she is a breath of fresh air into the brotherhood. I look forward to more interaction... maybe "scare" her...Boo! LOL.

Then its off to Yew Tee. Meeting a very special group of friends that I have known for 10 years! Yay! HC is going Sweden and is throwing a mini gathering before he goes... Things have changed a bit over the past 10 years. When I stepped into the place. I see ..KIDS!!!! Of course, in the course of 10 years a lot can happen... most got married and have become parents... As usual, S and I were super at home with kids... I love kids a lot. Good, naughty, bad, crybabies... I take them all in. LOL...But I have a soft spot for the quiet ones and the younger ones. I find myself playing alongside HJ and GY. Ok ok, I like HJ cos he is handsome and easygoing and will grow up to be a korean superstar. I can tell... even at 14 months. This boy is a charmer. We joked, that by the time he is a superstar, which is 20 years from now... Uncle Remirth me will also be in Korea using his picture when I visit the plastic surgeon! LOL. I dn have permission, so no pics of handsome HJ.

S and H made it to the gathering after all. I was very happy to see H. And even more excited that one of my closest friend is gonna be a dad soon! My mind swings back to 1996. The 1st time H ever spoke to me, was to borrow a piece of paper for some stupid lecture in BMT and he promised to return, an army notepad (those with a rubberband over it). Fast forward to now. Things haven't changed much. Who'd thought a notebook would bring a friendship of 15 years?! =)

I don't see this group a lot. But I always felt at home with them. HL and S was there with their 4 lovely kids. And she remembered to bake me the blueberry cake I missed the other time! I had 2 servings. Yum Yum. Home cooked food is the best. All made with love and expect no monetary returns. =)

We spoke of...diving, travel, so many things. The night probably won't end if the kids weren't gonna sleep.

And I suppose a visit to Sweden is due? ;)
