Thank you so much! I've been really frustrated with how Amy's been written in the last few episodes, as well as with the gender issues in general that has been grosser than usual this season, and it all just kind of exploded out into this fic. I feel like I learned a lot about Amy in writing it, and I'm really pleased that that came through.

Oh, goodness, how utterly and totally perfect! This is just what the episode needed to round off the adventure, and I'm so glad you wrote it and shared.

Little Rory and Amy are just as they should be, and the insights about Mels are so in character and witty - of course she has ulterior motives for getting them to their wedding! The realisation that everyone is waiting for Amy to change was just so sad and real, and Rory's slightly bumbling fixing was beautiful.

Of course he should take her name. It just works :)

Thank you! The first scene was the last thing I wrote, and I was amused when I was done with it to find just how much Mels had managed to insinuate herself into the fic. She was awesome in her own right, not just as an incarnation of River, and I wish we'd gotten to see more of her.

I loved this line because it's not just about Amy, here. It's about Rory, too, and how he's had to be a little less than himself to keep Amy--not that he doesn't think it's worth it, but that it's been legitimately difficult (something that fandom seems not to get, in general).

Yeah, I find it really interesting how they've had similar experiences in that regard, yet it plays out so differently for each of them in part because of gender roles and expectations.
