What Color Should Your Blog or Journal Be?
This is actually true. While I have many opinions on things that can be considered controversial, I tend to avoid sharing them because I hate the fights that break out. If I am a very, very pro or con on something, I will throw my opinion out there but I'm more about sharing my life, instead of my opinions. And I'm confused on many issues most of the time anyway. I'm so middle-of-the-road in most arguments that my point of view is seen as wishwashy and pointless.
For example, I don't like capital punishment. I mostly think killing is wrong no matter what. But if someone was to ever hurt Devon, Layla or Tony, I would want them killed. Or I may kill them myself. And when I hear of child molesters, I want them dead. So I can't say that, without a doubt, I'm against capital punishment.
And abortion. I think it is disgusting and heartless to kill an unborn child. But I've never been pregnant while living in a horrible situation. I always had a loving partner and the means to give my children a good life. And when I meet people that have had abortions, I don't instantly hate them or think they are awful people. I like to find out their circumstances before passing judgment. Everything is relative to the circumstances. So again, I can't say that I'm gung-ho about outlawing abortions even though I am far from pro-choice. The only part of the issue that I am sure about is the use of abortion as birth control by women that consistently make the irresponsible choice to avoid condoms, pills, IUDs, etc. Those women just piss me off.
And the other big issue these days is President Bush and the war. I am as middle of the road as a person can be. I don't even like to talk politics because I'm so indecisive about it all. I don't trust ANY media source and I have begun to not really give a damn who is running the country. Apathy...pure and simple.
