It had been a slow day for the team, which meant being locked up at your desk with piles of paper work; most of it long overdue for filing.
Morgan and Prentiss didn't really mind much, they had their little conversations over this case or that. Not just work either though; movies and books, boyfriends, girlfriends and life in general. It was a nice break not having to deal with mutilated bodies, and monster that should really only exist in nightmares.
Hotch was like his usual self: In his office, door closed, scribbling away at report after report, stopping only for a cup of coffee or a quick word to one agent or another.

About an hour after all the agents were in the office, without a word to either Morgan or Prentiss, Reid got up, grabbing an arm full of files and marched up to Gideon's office. He flopped onto the couch pushed against the far wall of the office and without a word to Gideon staring at his lanky form from behind his own desk, Reid just sat with his back to the arm rest, crossing his legs and got straight to work.
Gideon had watched it all with a small smile on his lips, and when the younger man was fully settled, he stayed watching for quite a while before relaxing in his chair and getting back to work with.
For a couple of hours the rustling of papers and the scratch of pens were just about the only things heard in the office. That is until Gideon felt something fly right by his head and hit the wall behind him. He snapped his head up toward Reid with a raised eyebrow, and all he was met by was a wide smile. Gideon shook his head and turned to pick up the paper air plane.
He twirled it around in his hand, examining it carefully. He could make out a few words splattered across the wings, something about disassociated personalities and arson, it was the weird little comic scribbled at the bottom that made him break all seriousness that had surrounded them.
“You captured Hotch perfectly.” Gideon laughed loudly and got up walking toward Reid on the couch.
The younger agent moved forward so Gideon could sit behind him and then proceeded to cuddle up to the other man who wrapped an arm around him. They booth looked at the little plane, and the cute drawings Reid had made; especially the one at the bottom.
“You know I think this last one is a bit of an exaggeration.”
Reid looked up with furrowed brows “What? How? I couldn’t think of any other way to draw us. It is the truth…isn’t it.”
Gideon smiled and kissed his forehead soothingly
“No matter how much I’d love to think it, I don’t have that much hair.”
Reid laughed and ran a hand through what hair his lover did have. “You have just enough for me.”
The just stayed cuddling for a while, grateful for the break, until Gideon looked down at the plane again.
“Spencer, why am I riding on a bird?”
“It’s better than sitting around here and doing paper work.”
Jason chuckled drawing Spencer into a quick kiss before throwing the plane. They both watched it pensivly as it flew across the room.
