I've just finished Anne Rice's latest: The Wolf Gift. She's quite a skilled writer, and I found this volume to be no exception. I've read a few of her vampire novels and had hoped that she might be heading in a new direction. However, the themes of mortality, morality, and the Catholic Church continue to dominate. Still, she is a good writer and I wouldn't discourage anyone from what is a good read, if a bit thin in philosophy. Also, I'm curious what the veterans of GarouMUSH have to say about it.
