RP: A new body [For Fred and Alt!Ten]

Stumbling back into the TARDIS Kalli groaned, clutching her bleeding stomach. Hearing the door shut and lock behind her she heaved a pained sigh, knowing she was safe. Making her way slowly over to the console, she leaned heavily against it, panting, eyes drifting shut for a moment. She could feel the TARDIS reaching out to her, trying to help her ( Read more... )

Romana had been a bit startled by the message, in the middle of researching her own wild-goose-chase, when she heard the pained voice come across the comms. "Kalli?" The voice sounded... pained, and as she thought about it, she felt a small inkling of the other woman's distress.

Cursing softly in Gallifreyan, she quickly exited her TARDIS, looking around for Kalli's own. Seeing it across the lawn, she headed over, psychically demanding the ship grant her entrance.

The TARDIS seemed wary at first, not wanting to let anyone in that could hurt it's pilot . But finally the doors opened, leading into the console room. One the floor near the console was one blood covered Australian Sheppard puppy, laying beside an unfamiliar looking woman. Dante's head rose as he heard the doors open and he gazed at Romana with sorrowful eyes, whining softly, before turning to gently nudge the woman on the floor.

In her regeneration, brown hair had faded to an almost dirty blond. She was slimmer, and slightly shorter than she had once been, which she would probably grouse about later. Her clothes were bloody, and her communicator lay just a few feet away with her messenger bag containing a piece of the Key to Time. Dante whined again, looking back to Romana.

So, it really was that bad. Romana sighed, quickly moving to drop to her knees next to the other woman, reaching out to check her pulses- steady, if faint- and other vitals, making sure she'd at least be alright with the physical aspect of the regeneration. That accomplished, she slumped to the floor, looking around at the scene and trying to decide what to do. Pulling out her communicator, she posted a quick message, just to relay the findings and that Kalli was apparently alright. Then, the female side finally took over again, and she let out a soft scoff of a sob, letting herself mourn the other woman's loss.

Dante heard the sob and whined again, nuzzling Romana's hand, licking at it, trying to be comforting. His tail wagged slowly, hopefully as he looked between his owner and the other woman. Standing he moved and nudged Kalli's cheek, licking at it, whimpering, trying to rouse her.

The only response he got was a cough, a groan, and a soft 'fuck'.

The Doctor did not want to leave the TARDIS, leave the labs, leave all the work he was doing to try to save Rose.

But something was wrong with Kalli. Her message sounded...frighteningly serious. Help? He had no idea where to go. She left no indication as to where she was. Her TARDIS would be the first place to look.

Pulling on his shoes, he darted from his TARDIS, glancing around to see if hers was there, on the lawn, and fully expecting it to not be. Oddly enough, there it was. He crossed the lawn and gave her door a few solid raps.

"Kalli! Kalli, it's me, the Doctor!"

Sitting in the chair, since Romana had left just a few minutes earlier to look around the TARDIS for something or another, probably just to poke around, Kalli sighed a little when she heard the Doctor all but pounding on the door. She couldn't help but smile a little, because he had gone to see her. Interesting.

Standing, rather slowly so not to get dizzy, she made her way over to the door. There was still blood all over the console floor, and she hadn't changed out of her bloody pants yet, but she otherwise looked fine. Getting to the door she opened it up, leaning on it slightly.

"Would have never guessed." She joked, offering him bright smile. Though even that was starting to get tiring, and she was beginning to feel a bit fatigued, not quite sure if she should be up an about after a regeneration.

After dying.

The Doctor blinked at the woman who opened the door.

"Sorry, uh, I'm looking for Kalli. This is her TARDIS, isn't it?" He tried to look behind the woman, seeing a puddle of blood on the floor. Terror sliced through him, but he kept himself calm.

"What have you done to her?" he demanded.

Oh, right. She didn't look like herself anymore. Huffing she rested her head against the door, closing her eyes briefly, willing away the dizziness. "It's me, Doctor. Kalli. Different body, same...person." Opening her now very blue eyes she peered out at him and stepped back, even though her hand never left the support of the door. "Want to come in? Sorry about the blood I haven't had a chance to clean up." She grinned a bit sheepishly.
