Stumbling back into the TARDIS Kalli groaned, clutching her bleeding stomach. Hearing the door shut and lock behind her she heaved a pained sigh, knowing she was safe. Making her way slowly over to the console, she leaned heavily against it, panting, eyes drifting shut for a moment. She could feel the TARDIS reaching out to her, trying to help her, but she pushed it away from her mind. Instead, collecting herself, she began slowly moving around the console, clumsily setting it for earth. The young Time Lady had barely learned how to fly the TARDIS, let alone while wounded. But she managed it, and felt it start the trip back to Earth.
Seeming relieved she let herself slump to the floor, back pressed against the console. Pulling the bag she had on her shoulder into her lap, she brushed her fingers over the slightly bloodied material, before setting it on the ground. Inside the bag was a piece of one of the missing Keys to Time. She had heard about it going missing, and wanting to be useful set out to find the pieces.
Though she hadn't quite expected to meet hostiles.
Arriving on the planet she had been welcomed with open arms and the people had been very hospitable. Though after doing a little digging and questioning, she had found her way to what she was looking for. Though the people had been unwilling to give her such an artifact, having sensed it's importance. In the end, she had been reduced to stealing. Sneaking out in the evening she had made her way past all the security around the object and had managed to lift it. The only problem was the security guard she ran into on the way out.
There was a fight. Starting with fists, ending with a knife lodged right in her gut. Her TARDIS wasn't far though, and she managed to get him back and hurry into it. Feeling the TARDIS land, she groaned and pulled out her communicator, ignoring the puppy that was now circling around her, whining, worried. Turning on the communicator she tried to find her voice.
"Doctor? Fred, love?" She coughed out. "I...I seem to need a bit of...assistance..." there was a pause and the sound of more blood coughing. "Help?" and with that she passed out, the communicator clattering to the ground before shutting off as her mind faded to black.
And that's when she began to regenerate.
