I sold you, and you sold me.

You know, while reading this, I actually stopped midway through, and didn't continue reading for a week or two.

Well, to be honest, I did got stuck in what I think is the most boring part in the book (I call it boring only because it's the most chore to read), the part where Winston reads the book about the world. But it's not only that-- I was scared. 1984 could be considered a horror in its own right, not because there are ghosts, but because if you imagine it, that book could have been our present time, if the right conditions were present. I was deeply afraid of a reality where freedom doesn't even exist in your mind.

And who's to say that it's not the reality of some countries today?
